Founder’s Story
I’m Surendra Godara, known as Albela Engineer. I am an explorer, filmmaker, and adventure traveler. For years, I have traveled across India by road. I have lived in my self-built caravan and ridden through high Himalayan passes, remote valleys, and the deserts of Rajasthan. My journeys have tested me and shaped who I am today.
Throughout the years, my strongest connection has been with the Himalayas, particularly Ladakh, Zanskar, Himachal, and Spiti Valley.
That’s why I started OnGo Expeditions, a travel company that provides the same authentic, life-changing experiences I have had.

An Unforgettable Experience in My Memories.
I had a wonderful experience travelling with Kim and Surendra. Immediately there was a warm and adventurous atmosphere that lasted the whole trip. Everything was very well planned with enough flexibility to meet everyone's needs. They were considerate about my night blindness. Once a teammeber took over and I could ride in the van! The places we visited were special and with Surendra being a native speaker, communication with locals added a special touch. We had a broken bike key and a flat tyre, but the team were excellent troubleshooters and it didn’t affect our plans. As a 58 year old Dutch woman, I had little experience with hairpins, off roading and watercrossing. But with their guidance, tips and encouragement I became quite a confident rider! For me it was an unforgettable experience that will always have a special place in my memories.
